He’s an online racist and alt-right advocate who wants to create an all white 26 county state that’s stuck in a perpetual battle of Fine Gael/Fianna Fail conservatism that eventually inbreeds itself to the point of corrupt dystopia that only a brainwashed toerag could dream of.
I’ve been very proud of our actions as Irish people in the last year, we’ve fought against austerity, marched for equality, and genuinely seem to have open hearts for immigrants.
So we must take action now too in the face of alt right lunatics like Brian Murphy (@brianmurphycllr). They cannot be allowed represent the face of Irish politics or the face of party politics in Ireland.
If we’re going to remain politically active in Irish politics we cannot pick and choose our battles. The alt right has gained significant ground in the USA and the UK. We cannot let the rot take hold in Ireland.
One moment I remember fondly is when Ireland hosted the special Olympics and communities all over the country helped host families, unquestionably, they took people in to help host the games.
There was no question of religion or background, just compassion and love that we Irish are know for.
I often think that if a small vessel came up on shore in a seaside town in Ireland that the first thing we would do is help everyone ashore, to a warm fire, make sure everyone had food and shelter. We wouldn’t be worried about their religion or politics. This is of course partly due to our own history of migration. We are all very conscious of the suffering of our ancestors.
But if the media continues to scare monger and politicians like Brian are given a platform then people will end up guarding the shores with pitchforks.
You need to take action to ensure Brian Murphy is expelled from Irish Politics. Write to your Fine Gael representative today to ask that he is expelled from the party.
