This is what politics has become, we once looked up to well read individuals, philosophers, natural leaders, and people of supreme integrity. What we have now is reality TV politics, a demagogue for US president, and a British government defined by a waving mackerel, like some kind of Faulty Towers sketch.
There is a line in the movie The Limehouse Golem, attributed to Lactantius that goes;
"He who observes spills no less blood than he who inflicts the blow".
Such is the faith of Brexit and yellow press politics. The Bojo Golem is nothing more than a sideshow in the modern day arena dominated by political showmanship, where ego and tabloid popularity carry more weight than unity and common good.
The way out of this catastrophe is to viualise the alternatives. We have to engage with the people who align closer to the kind of future we want to live in. Too often in politics we take a back seat while someone else does the driving. Change is inevitable but it wont happen until we all start to take more active roles in community driven politics.
